Chapter 4
I never knew celebrities had to disguise themselves everytime they went out. I was the only one in the group not wearing a hat or a pair of sunglasses. I felt sort of outcasted, but I just brushed it off. "Nee," Maru said, breaking the silence, "which mall do you want to go to?"
"Etto... [Um...]" Jin started to say. "We shouldn't go too far since we have rehearsal in a little bit."
I heard Kame mummble to himself, "You're one to talk."
Jin continued, ignoring Kame's comment, "Let's go to Shibuya."
"Shibuya?" I asked. "Isn't that right next to Tokyo? Like prefecture 108 or something like that."
"Sou dayo [That's right]," Koki answered. "How did you know?"
"I saw it in a drama some time ago."
Kame looked at his wristwatch, "We'll make it. Let's catch the next train."
"Hai [Yes]!" Maru shouted excited.
We all ran towards the nearest train station, well jogged. All the members of KAT-TUN were holding their hats so they wouldn't fall off. I was going faster than any of them, but I don't think they were going their fastest anyways. We barely made it, but we made it. "Nee [Hey], Kame-"
Koki cut me off by saying, "Oi, futari! Koochi [Hey, you two! Over here]!"
I looked at him confused at why he cut me off. Maru was standing next to me and told me, "You can't call our names out. It'll attract attention. Gomen ne [Sorry, okay]?"
Kame and Jin barely made it into the train. Once they jumped in, the doors behind them closed. "Ah~ That was so close, ne [right]?" Kame asked Jin. It was the first time I saw him talking to him.
"Sou [Yeah]. Really close," Jin answered. They suddenly looked at each other with a shocked face and turned away from each other.
"Eh?" I asked myself. "They were doing so well."
"Don't worry about them," Junno whispered to me, "They've been at it like that for a while. Sometimes they talk to each other, sometimes they don't." I nodded confused.
When we arrived at the mall, Jin and Kame hadn't said a word to each other. They didn't even exchange glances. "We're here," Maru announced. The mall was huge. It was 5 stories tall and really wide. The front was pretty empty, but inside looked like a party.
"Suge~ [Wow]" I complimented astonished.
"Darou [Right]?" Koki jumped in as he took his hat off. He shook his head and his hair swisshed in the breeze. I watched the others as they did the exact same thing. "Ah...ii kimochi [Ah...this is a nice feeling]."
"Eh?" I asked confused. "Nande [Why]?"
" 'Nande' te. Doushita [You say, Why. What's wrong]?" Maru asked casually.
"Why are you guys taking your hats and sunglasses off? Aren't you worried about fans and the "P" people?"
" 'P' people? What's that?" Junno asked.
I cupped my hands in front of my mouth and whispered, "Paparazzi." Everyone started to laugh hysterically. Kame gave a little chuckle and Jin couldn't help but giggle a little. "Huh? Nande [Why (are you laughing)]?"
Koki held in his laughter and answered, "This mall is only for celebrities. It's made for that exact reason."
"Made for celebrities? What do you mean?"
Maru jumped in, "It was made so crazy fans can't attack us. Or the "P" people." He started to laugh and everyone joined him.
"Daijoubu, daijoubu [It's okay, it's okay]," Ueda broke in. "It's private property so no one but people with permission can get in." He dug into his pocket and pulled out a small ID card with his name, picture, and occupation. "Hora [Look]. This is what every person who wants to get in needs in order to enter the building."
Everyone pulled their IDs out and showed me. "Suge [Wow]. They really thought of everything."
Junno nodded, then said, "Oh yeah. Erika-chan, how old are you?"
"I'm 21. Why?" I anwered and asked.
"That means you can drink, right?" Ueda asked.
"Yeah. I'm allowed to drink in America too," I told them.
"Really?" Maru asked.
"Yeah. It was just recent though." I pulled my cell phone out. "Ah, it's almost 5:30. We should get home."
Junno pulled his cell phone out as well. "Ah, hontou da [Ah, it's true]."
"Eh? Majikayo [Are you serious]? We weren't even able to do anything," Koki whined.
"It can't be helped. We have work to do. C'mon you guys, let's go home," Ueda told them.
"Hai, hai [Yes, yes]," Junno agreed.
Ueda looked at Jin. "Jin-kun, ikimashou [Jin, let's go]."
Jin looked at him with cold eyes. "Whatever."
Koki looked at Kame. "Kame, ikou [Kame, let's go]."
Kame looked at him with slightly warmer eyes than Jin. "Hai [Yes]."
This is getting serious. Even different members have to speak to them. What the hell did they fight over?
