Chapter 15

Later that same day

The walk home with Nino from the small cafe was a quiet one. He didn't talk, I didn't talk. We just walked down the street together in complete scilence. I wasn't paying attention to my surroundings and ended up almost being killed by 3 cars. "Erika-chan!!" Nino called out freaked out as the 4th car of the day almost killed me. Luckily, the car stopped right before the grill could touch my legs. I was so stunned and out of it, that I continued walking as if nothing happened. "Erika-chan!" Nino called out again. Before he could cross the street, I was already on the end of that same street.

Nino finally caught up with me and grabbed my shoulder to turn me around. "Huh?" I snapped out of it, greatly confused.

"Erika-chan," he repeated.

"H-hai?" I answered dazed.

"Daijoubu [Are you okay]?" he asked concerned.

"Eh? Nani ga [About what]?"

"You've been completely out of it since the cafe. Doushita [What's wrong]?"

"Eh? Nan de mo nai [It's nothing]," I assured him.

"Hontou [Really]?"

"Hontou. Zen zen henki desu [Really. I'm completely fine]," I lied.

"Sou ka [Is that so]." We continued walking after that, but my mind was still out of it. A 5th car almost hit me that day. "Erika!!!!" Nino shouted.

"Eh?" I turned around to catch a glance of him, but then I looked at the car not even a centimeter seperating us. "Uwa~ Abunai [That was close]," I said casually.

"Omae [You (informally)]." Nino came running after me and pushed me out of the street. "You're not fine at all!" he warned me. He grabbed me by the shoulder and told me, "I think it'd be best if we take a taxi. I'll call for one right now."

"Hai," I answered oblivious to his decision.

While in the car, I stared out of the window looking at the buildings and people walking. Nino and I didn't talk at all, we just sat there. I felt Nino staring at me throughout the whole ride with worried eyes, but I didn't say anything. Instead, I was thinking of my own problems and other stuff.

Things like what happened with Jin just a few hours ago. How I felt and the way I reacted. What if that wasn't Jin? But what if it was? And that girl, who was she? Why were they kissing? Are they a couple? Was she that girl Yamapi and Jin were talking about yesterday? Why do I care so much? Why am I asking these questions?

Then this question appeared in my head: Do I like him?

"We're here," the driver announced.

"Arigatou," Nino thanked and the driver opened the doors. "Erika-chan, ikou [Erika, let's go]."

"Hai," I answered and got out of the car.

"Ikou," Nino said as he pushed me gently towards the house. As we entered the house, Nino greeted casually, "Tadaima [We're back]."

"Okairii," everyone inside greeted back.

"Erika-chan," someone said from the door. I looked up and it was Kame. "Okairii," he greeted.

"Kamenashi-san," I said some what shocked. "Ah, tadaima."

"Doushita no [What's wrong]?" he asked.

I looked at him, trying to fake an okay face. "Nan de mo nai [It's nothing]," I answered with a fake smile. I took my shoes off and turned around to face Nino. "Kyou arigatou gozaimasu [Thank you for today]," I said and bowed.

"Iie [No]," Nino replied.

"I'll be upstairs," I told everyone and walked up the stairs and towards my room.

"Did something happen?" I heard Taguchi ask Nino.

Nino hesitated to answer, and I felt him staring at me as I waited for his reply. "Nope. Nothing big," he lied. "Jaa, mata ne [Well, another time]," he said and I heard the door close.

I walked into my room and threw my body onto my bed. "Fuu~" I sighed and rolled my body so I was staring at the ceiling. "Doushi yo [What should I do]?" I whispered to myself.

After a few moments of thinking to myself and interrogating myself, the sound of door opening was heard from downstairs. "Tadaima," a deep male-like voice greeted.

"Jin-kun, okairii," Ueda greeted.

"Jin!?" I whispered in utter shock.

"How ironic, Erika-chan just came back from her date with Ninomiya-san just a few moments ago," Taguchi mentioned.

"Junno! Baka [Idiot]!" I muttered. "Don't say that."

"Date?" Jin asked not a tad interested. "Whatever. I'm gonna be upstairs."

"Hai~" Ueda replied.

Jin's footsteps were getting louder and louder as he walked up the stairs. "Oh crap," I muttered. I was lucky that my room was the second one and not the first. Since it was like that, Jin wouldn't pass by my room. I heard him enter his room and close the door. "That was close."

Now that Jin was in his room, I felt like I was safe from encountering him. I walked out of my room, but ended up hearing Jin over the phone. "Moshi moshi [Hello]?"

"Dammit. Again?" I whispered. I moved back a little and continued to listen to his conversation. "Why is he always on the phone whenever I pass by?"

"Yamapi? I'm going to put you on speaker," he told him. "Daijoubu [It's okay]. No one is in the room but me." I heard him place the phone down on his desk and the sounds of another backround could be heard. "You're on."

"Jin-kun?" I clearly heard Yamapi on the other end.

"I'm here," Jin told him. "What'd you want to talk about?" he asked.

"About last night," Yamapi started. "Sorry for bringing up the past like that."

"It's okay. I wasn't hurt."

"That's good to hear. Anyways, I wanted to ask if you've sorted them out."

"Sorted what out?"

"Your feelings." Jin didn't say anything after that. It was just silence. "Jin?"

"No," he answered.

"You should hurry up and get them organized. Having such feelings isn't a good thing. Especially for her," Yamapi warned him.

"I know that already. I just can't really think straight right now."

"I'm just saying though, get them sorted out."

"Hai hai, okaa-san [Yes, yes, mother]," Jin said playfully,

"Omae no kaa-san ja neyo [I'm not your mother]," Yamapi replied in a playful tone as well.

"Anyways, how are you doing?" Jin asked.

I thought that was the end of an interesting conversation so I walked away from his room and down the stairs. "Minna [Everyone]," I said as I reached the living room.

"Hai?" they all answered at the same time and turned around to face me.

"I'm going out for a walk. Do you guys need anything?" I asked.

"Hmmm...." Junno thought about it, but I guess nothing came to his mind. "Nope. Nothing really."

"Okay. I'll be back before it gets really dark," I told.

"Kyosukete [Be careful]," Kame told me.

"Hai~" I put on my shoes and walked out of the house alone. "Where should I go?" I asked myself. I looked to my left, and then to my right. "I've never gone left...let's go this way." I walked down the unfamiliar road with unfamiliar surroundings without a care in the world. Sort of.

I went in and out of stores without buying anything. The owners were looking at me with weird faces. Some kicked me out because I was lingering for too long. I was getting bored and it was already pass 10:00 p.m. so I decided to go back home. But on my way there I saw someone familiar. When I squinted my eyes a clear face could be seen. It was Yamapi. "Ah, Yamashita-san," I said to myself, but he was able to hear me.

"Erika-chan?" he said shocked, and then walked towards me. "Hontou da [It's true]. What are you doing here?" he asked.

"I was just taking a walk. Get some fresh air and stuff. You?"

"Went out to buy some onigiris." He showed me the bag. "Want some? The lady gave me one for free."

"S-sure," I answered.

We walked to an empty park and sat down on a bench. "Hai [Here]," Yamapi said offering me the extra onigiri.

"Arigatou [Thanks]." I took the onigiri from his hand and begun eating it.

"Moishi [Good]?" he asked.

"Moishi [It's good]," I answered.

"Yokata [That's good to hear]."

"Nee [Hey]," I started.

"Yeah?"

"Are you and Akanishi-san best friends?"

"Yup. Since middle school."

"Sugoi [Awesome]."

"Nee," he started.

"Yeah?"

"Do you like living with KAT-TUN?"

"Hmm...yup. Not one day has been boring so far."

"Hmmm. Sou ka [Is that so]."

"Eh? Doushita [What's wrong]?" I asked as if I said something wrong.

"Nan de mo nai [It's nothing]," he answered. "I have another question."

"Eh? Nani [What]?"

"Do you have someone you like?" he suddenly asked.

"L-like?" I asked confused. "Nande [Why]?"

"Just want to know," he lied.

I thought about it. DO I have someone I like? "Saa [Don't know]."

"Sou ka. Demo ne [But you know]," he started, "have you read rumors about celeb relationships?"

"You mean when two celebs go out with each other?" I asked.

"Yeah."

"I have. Nande?"

"In most cases, do they ever work out?"

I thought about it. If I had answered "No" would that be offending? But if I answered "Yes" would I be lying? "No," I answered.

"Sekai [Correct]," he mummbled.

"Why are you asking me this?"

"Just a small warning." He stood up and looked at me. "Relationships with celebs never work out. They just hurt both parties. So I warn you now, don't get into a relationship with a celeb. Especially an idol." And with that, Yamapi walked away.

"E-eh?" I asked myself. "Do yu koto [What's that mean]?"

Nino looks like hes in love with Erika instead of being good friends with her... idk y but i just feel that...XD

whenever jin feels like he is liking someone, yamapi always has to be the one to warn the other party... i can't understand why...

anyway... it's still a good chap... showing the depression of the two...
it's really confusing if they really do have feelings for each other...
but then again... who knows...

Nino behaves more like a kareshi then a tomodachi?
and Yamapi at the end? Do yu koto? Jin no koto? hnn
