Chapter 16

"Ohayo [Morning]!" I greeted blissfully.

"Ohayo, Erika-chan [Morning, Erika]," Maru greeted back as I ran down the stairs. "Did something good happen?" he asked peculiarly.

"Hm? Betsuni [Nothing really]," I told him. In truth, I was actually hiding my depression and real feeings. To add to the confusing questions and weird feelings from yesterday's scene, Yamapi's words confused me even more.

Flashback

"Relationships with celebs never work out. They just hurt both parties. So I warn you now, don't get into a relationship with a celeb. Especially an idol."

Real time

"Hmmm. Sou ka [Is that so]," Maru replied still curious.

"Anyways, anything special we're doing today?" I asked trying to get Maru off the subject.

"What's today's date?" Ueda asked out of the blue.

"Etto...[Um]." I looked around the room for a calender but before I could find one someone beat me to it.

"It's the 5th of September." I looked behind me and realized it was Jin. I woke up before him? "Why?"

"Today I think Yuki-san said that we had an important meeting with the boss," Ueda announced unsure.

"Boss? As in Johnny-san?" I asked.

"Yup. The "YOU" man," Koki said joking around.

"What's the meeting about?" Junno asked.

"Etto...I think about the situation right now and stuff," Ueda answered.

"Figures," Jin said annoyed.

"Jin," Ueda called in a warning tone.

"Tck, whatever." He looked away, and then looked at me. "Omae [You (Familiar)]."

"O-omae?" I said astonished.

"Chotto [Come here]," he said waving his hand at me.

"Eh?" I slowly walked towards him, feeling the stares of the other members. "Nani [What]?"

"Kinou, nanka atta no [Did something happen yesterday]?" he asked whispering to me.

"Kinou [Yesterday]?" I thought about yesterday's events. Ah! Does he know I saw him with that girl? "Ah, betsuni [Ah, nothing]," I lied.

"Hontou [Really]?"

"Hontou ni [Really]," I nervousally answered.

"Usosuki [Liar]." He stood up straight and scratched the back of his neck. "You really suck at lying."

"Eh?" I said confused.

"Last night, when you went for a walk."

"A walk? Yeah, I did that."

"You met up with someone, didn't you?"

"Eh? Dare [Who]?"

"Ya-ma-pi," he answered. "Omae to Yamapi [You and Yamapi]."

"Ah, sore [Ah, that]?" I asked relieved.

"Eh? What else would there be?" he said confused.

"Ah, nan de mo nai," I told him.

"De [And]?"

"De [And]? De nani [And what]?" I asked.

"Did he say something?"

I thought about it. Was he talking about the onigiri offer? "He offered me an onigiri."

"O-onigiri?"

"Hai. Nande [Yeah. Why]?"

"Soshite [And then]?"

"Soshite...we ate them."

"And then?"

"How long do you expect this short meeting's story to go on for?" I asked annoyed.

"Tsuzuite [Continue]," he demanded.

"Hai, hai," I said pissed and scared. "Etto...soshite...we talked."

"About?"

"He asked me if I liked living with KAT-TUN."

"Your answer?"

"Y-yes."

He hestitated to ask his next question, but he eventually did. "What else?"

"Then he asked if I liked someone," I answered sort of scared.

"W-what'd you say?"

"No..." I said doubtfully.

He sighed and rolled his eyes. "Then?"

"How long are we going to do this?"

"Keep going."

"Fine. He told me that relationships between celebs never work. Warned me about it for some reason."

"Tck. Ano baka [That idiot]," he muttered.

"Eh?" I asked. I thought he was talking about me.

"Iie [Nothing]. Arigatou [Thanks]." He walked away from me and back into his room.

"Nan dayo [What was that about]?" I mummbled to myself annoyed.

"Erika-chan," Kame called from the kitchen.

"Hai?" I answered.

"Did something happen?"

"Ah. iie. He was just being a jerk is all." Jeez I don't know why he had to question me like I did something wrong. And then call me an idiot? Ass.

"What'd you talk about?" Maru asked as I sat back down next to Kame near the island.

"Just the stuff that happened last night during my late walk," I answered.

"Hmmm. Weird," Maru replied.

"What time is it?" Ueda asked.

"Almost 3 p.m. That was quick," Junno answered surprised.

"Majide [Seriously]?" Koki said amazed.

"The meetings already in an hour. Let's all get ready," Ueda told everyone.

"Hai!"

A few moments later

It didn't take the members too long to get ready. Kame was the first done and he waited with me downstairs for the other members. "Erika-chan," he called.

"Kamenashi-san," I replied.

"You ready?" he asked.

"Nn. You?"

"Yup." He was wearing a semi-formal outfit. A black overcoat with a white shirt inside. Dark jeans and black shoes. I'm guessing meeting with old man Johnny was a pretty big deal since I've never seen the members dress like this.

I was wearing a black and red blouse with flowers. My jeans were black, but not really dark black. I was wearing black sandals. Yes, I like black. "Ah, Taguchi-san," I called as I saw him walk down the stairs.

"Osu [Hey]!" he greeted as he waved his hand.

A few moments later and everyone was done. Once again, I rode the same van as Kame and Jin. The awkward atmosphere is beginning to become normal to me. But I've decided to finally find out why such a feeling exists between the two. I plan on asking Kame since Jin might just give me the cold shoulder. Plus, if I ask Jin, he'd never tell me since it's most likely his fault. If I ask Kame, he'll break it down for me.

"We're here," the driver announced as the van stopped.

I looked out the window and realized we stopped in front of a huge hotel looking building. It was so tall, just like the Trump Towers. There had to be at least 20 floors. And if not 20, then the floors must be thick as hell. "Suge [Amazing]~" I mummbled astonished.

"Sugoi, ne [It's awesome, huh]?" Kame added.

The door of the van opened and Yuki-san was the opener. "Dozo [Go ahead]," she said bowing.

"Arigatou," Kame thanked as he jumped out of the van.

A few moments later

Yuki-san lead us to a huge room with only a huge table inside. There were about 20 chairs placed and I was intimidated and overwhelmed by the size. "Uwa~" I said stunned.

"Erika-chan, you sit here with KAT-TUN," Yuki-san directed as she pointed to one side of the table.

"H-hai." I walked up to the side she pointed at and sat down in the middle. Jin sat to my left and Kame to my right. In front of us was an empty side of just chairs. I looked around the room and realized everyone had serious faces. Even the playful and childish Koki. This must be a serious matter. Or maybe they're just scared.

Suddenly, the door we entered from before opened. "Stand," Yuki-san quietly commanded. Everyone did as she said in unison, except for me. I was too out of it. And then an old man with a young woman about my age entered the room. "Bow," Yuki-san commanded. And we all bowed, this time we were all in sync. "Sit." We all sat.

"Domo [Hello]," the old man greeted as he sat right in front of me. His assistant sat in front of Kame, and the young woman sat in front of Jin. "O-genki desu ka [Are you all doing well]?" he asked politely.

"Hai. Minna genki desu [Everyone is doing fine]," Kame answered for the group.

"Yokata [That's good to hear]," he replied. And then he looked straight at me. "You must be Hanashimi Erika-san. Hajimemashite [Nice to meet you]."

"H-hajimemashite," I replied disturbed.

"Doushitan dayo [What's wrong]?" he asked.

"Ah, nan de mo nai [Ah, it's nothing]."

"Anyways, the reason as to why I called you hear is to discuss your current situation," he said getting down to buisness.

"Wakarimashita [We understand]," Yuki-san replied.

"What do you plan on doing from now on?" he asked.

"We plan on doing the same thing we do every time we are put into this situation. Keep it a secret from the paparazzi," Yuki-san answered confidentlly.

"Sou ka [I see]." He took a pen in between his fingers and then asked, "Hanashimi-san, how are you dealing with the current situation?"

"Ah," I blurted out. "Etto..." I looked around the room nervousally, trying to avoid eye contact with Johnny-san. I finally gathered enough courage and looked at him. "I'm dealing with it to the best of my abilities. I'm adapting quiet well with the lives of KAT-TUN and everything that comes with it."

"That's good. Nice to know you're not being left out of anything."

"H-hai."

"Yuki-san," Johnny-san called.

"Hai?" she answered.

"I would like to talk to you in private, please follow me."

"Hai." The both of them stood up and Johnny-san escorted Yuki-san into another room with his assistant.

"Uwa~" Koki and Maru sighed in unison.

"That was more nervewrecking than the last one," Maru commented.

"I swear, my heart has never beated so fast," Ueda added.

"Mine too," Junno agreed.

"Kamenashi-san?" I called.

He was breathing hard and looked as if he was going to faint. "Kowe [Scary]~" he said in a cracking voice.

Wow. Even the cool and collected Kamenashi freaked out. I wonder...Jin? "Akanishi-san?" He was completely normal, just not looking ahead of him. Trying to avoid eye contact with the girl in front of him, while the girl was trying to make him look at her. "What's his problem?" I muttered.

"By the way," Koki suddenly blurted, "how are you?" He was looking at the young girl.

"I'm fine. Thanks for asking, Koki-kun," she answered. Koki-KUN? "How about you, Jin-kun?" JIN-KUN?

"I'm doing fine, thanks for asking," he coldly answered.

"Cold as ever, huh?" she said not surprised.

"Only to you," he told her. Liar! What about me? Or Kame?!

"I guess so."

"Oh wait, we totally forgot to introduce her to Erika-chan," Ueda suddenly realized.

"Oh yeah. How rude of us," Maru added.

Everyone walked to the side of the young girl except Jin and Kame. "Erika-chan, this is Johnny-san's niece," Junno told me.

"EH!?" I shouted completely shocked. "Y-you're the one who sent me the e-mail."

"Sou desu yo [That's right]," she replied.

"EH!? But-but you're my age," I exclaimed.

"Dakara nani [So what]?"

"Eh? Ah, it's just...I thought you'd be older than myself is all," I explained.

"Well I'm not."

"Hai..." I put my hands in my pockets for no reason, and then asked, "Oh yeah. Namae wa [Your name]?"

"Kitagawa Awakai," she answered and bowed.

"Awakai?" I muttered. The name sounded familiar.

Flashback

"What about Awakai-chan?" Yamapi asked seriously.

"I already forgot about her. Don't bring it up," Jin threatened

Real time

"Ah!" I shouted.

"Nani [What]?" Awakai asked.

"You're...you're..." The words wouldn't come out, but my thoughts were already complete in my mind.

She's the girl Yamapi was talking about that one night. That Awakai-chan!? She's Jin's friend? No. The way Yamapi was talking she must be more than a friend. A close friend? No, not a close friend. That only leaves one thing...girlfriend? No. Jin said he forgot about her. That means...ex-girlfriend!?

Jin's ex-girlfriend is Johnny-san's niece!!?!?!?!?!?

"EEHHH!!!???"
